What is the difference between Raw Food and Fresh Food?Updated a year ago

There are two core differences between fresh diets and raw diets. First, fresh food is cooked (which contributes to some nutrient degradation) and raw food isn’t. Second is the macronutrient make up: a fresh diet follows the same macronutrient profile of kibble (high starch, lower protein) while raw diets mimic a dog’s natural diet (high protein, low starch). Raw is higher protein, lower carbs, and the most nutrient-available diet (because there is absolutely no degradation through cooking). Unlike kibble or fresh, raw food naturally changes the gut flora and pH in your dog’s stomach and mouth which leads to stabilized energy, strengthening the immune system, reducing tartar, fresher breath, and reduced allergies / itchiness.
